| Important Note
for Service Packs users: Sadly,
the new Service Packs (SP3 for Win2000 and SP1 for WinXP) did big
changes in the handle of ActiveDesktop, and the Flash Dock won't
work at all in this systems. Although you'll can install it and
see it, when you click over an icon the screen will become white;
it's because Windows stop all the activity and unload the Active
Desktop when the system detects the ActiveX control used to launch
the shortcuts. Since it's not a flaw (nor in the system nor in the
dock) I'm afraid that will be hard find a solution in the near future.
Sorry for this inconvenience.
Developed entirely in Flash MX, this dock is able to handle some
features found only in the real OS X, such as a realistic zoomer
magnification effect, opening applications animation and other cool
visual features. You'll need to have installed the Macromedia Flash
Player 6.0 (it's free of charge) and you can download it from Macromedia.
Now for the fun part. I have provided an HTML file. You can set
it as part of your active desktop, so you'll be able to set the
dock as program launcher, moreover you can customize almost every
item in the dock. You'll can set:
- Your own set of icons.
- Your own text on icons.
- Your own wallpaper, and specify their use or
not.
- The behaviour of the dock (show/hide state).
- The behaviour of the effects (animation on
click, use arrow, use magnification effect)
Download additional icons for the Flash Dock,
more than 60 different icons ready for use!

How to build your own set of icons tutorial
Note: The issue with the CPU
usage has been fixed, without loose usability and smoothness. Thanks
to Danisan! |

| Credits
I began to build this dock using as base an excellent tutorial
made by Aaron, wich you'll find here.
After that, many people take part of the project, people as Danisan
who help me a lot since the begining and later fixing the CPU usage
flaw, so this could be the largest list of credits in the history.
A lot of people is responsible of this great piece of technology,
thanks to everybody!
